Getting an FBI background check from Canada

For an FBI Identity History Summary (a US background check), the FBI requires ink fingerprints on the FD-258 card. You can have these taken in Canada and submit them by mail or through an FBI-approved channeler.

Frontier One prepares FD-258 and C-216C cards to FBI standards and can mail them for you, so your prints aren’t rejected for quality. We can also handle the full FBI history-check package if you’d rather we manage the submission.

Processing time is set by the FBI, not by us. Bring valid photo ID and any forms the destination agency gave you.
